Restore Your Core (RYC) is a method that helps to rehab and retrain the core and pelvic floor to engage reflexively by addressing tension, alignment patterns and breath through movement and body awareness.

In this workshop style movement class, we will:

  • explore the connection between your pelvic floor, core and breath
  • learn a breathing technique that sets you up to safely strengthen your core without contributing to core/pelvic floor dysfunction
  • learn the do’s and don’ts about exercising with core & pelvic floor imbalances
  • be guided through pelvic self mapping exercises to get to know your own pelvic floor, pelvis and abdominal wall better
  • put it all together with pelvic floor friendly movements that will help you begin or continue your journey of building strength and healing.


ABOUT MARESSA FONGER:

At the end of 2023, after attempting to restrengthen my core postpartum, I developed pelvic and pelvic floor symptoms and discomfort that took hold of my daily life. As a long time bodyworker and teacher (going on 13 years), I knew this was a soft tissue and alignment issue and sought out teachings, modalities and exercises to help me troubleshoot my symptoms.

Thankfully, I found Restore Your Core (RYC)- a method that helps to rehab and retrain the core and pelvic floor to engage reflexively by addressing tension, alignment patterns and breath through movement and body awareness. With this program, I started my movement journey over from scratch and in the process learned what was contributing to my pelvic floor discomfort.

With dedication, I have lessened and/or healed my symptoms, feel stronger than ever and have gained the tools to feel confident again in how I move and how to help my clients. As a certified RYC teacher, I am so excited to share this life changing method. I offer 1:1 assessment sessions and group RYC movement classes both online and in person at my beautiful office in Brattleboro, VT.
